Why Naked?

I started this blog back in 2007 with the title "Martin's Musings" - the intention was that it would be general thought's about anything. On resurrecting this blog after six and a half years "Martin's musings" just seems too abstract, bland and safe. I want to do something more personal and "exposed" - to just write.

The first name that came to mind was "Barefoot Blog"- it had a nice rhyme to it with the fact that it was on Blogger and Barefoot had the connotations I was looking for - e.g. Wikipedia "footwear is generally worn for functional, fashion, and societal reasons  .. barefootedness is not regarded as unusual in many domestic environments, but is subject to criticism in public spaces in many urban environments." Footwear provides protection - barefoot has aspects of exposure and vulnerability I was looking for but only barefoot just didn't seem to be enough ... I had thought about "Bareback Blog" but ......... :)

"Naked Blog" just seemed to stick - Jamie Oliver's original "Naked Chef" idea of personal, simple, easy and quick cooking that anyone can do kept coming to mind - tearing up herbs rather than cutting them!
